Our client specialises in the provision of planning, design and management services for infrastructure development worldwide. With interests in transportation, water, maritime and property, the company is undertaking commissions in over 70 countries from a network of more than 70 offices.
KEY ROLE OBJECTIVE
The principal function of this position is to report to the Airports Market Sector Director for the ME Region to lead bids and project manage the projects in the region requiring airport planning expertise. The role will also entail developing an Airports planning team in the region to work on projects within and outside the region.
A key part of this role will be to work with the company’s UK based airport planners to develop skills across both teams and effectively manage and resource projects worldwide.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The priorities of this role include:
* An ability to manage a small team and provide technical leadership in airfield airport terminal, and airport facility planning
* An ability to communicate clearly in English with the Client, Airport Operator and company’s staff, Fluency in Arabic would be an advantage but is not essential
KEY REQUIREMENTS
* A relevant degree or professional qualification will be an advantage; however these are not essential if experience beyond the minimum qualifies the individual for the role.
* Knowledge of some specialist software such as pathplanner, Arc port or Simmod
* Experience in working on live airports. |
