Package Manager – Trackside Village

The Government & Infrastructure division has been awarded a contract for the provision of Project Management Services for Yas Island, Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. This is the initial phase of the full development of the island as a leisure resort. Consequently they have a number of vacancies offering a significant opportunity to become involved in this exciting project.
Job Role
• Responsible to the Package Manager –Hotels, for the project management of consultants and contractors employed on the design and construction of the trackside village.
• Heads a team to project manage the design and construction of the Village associated with the development’s Formula 1 Racetrack.
• Assures safe project execution to the client''s satisfaction, consistent with cost, schedule and contractual requirements.
• Accountable for project delivering to time and budget as well as expected results for HSE and client satisfaction.
• Assures the project execution is in accordance with policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company
• Manages and coordinates activities of all project personnel by direct supervision or through subordinates.
• Plans the project execution and revises the plan as necessary and assures adherence to the plan.
• Keeps the client and company advised of project status.
Experience Required:
Minimum of 15 years on major engineering and construction projects, including management experience.
Having previously worked on hotel/villa projects an advantage
Qualifications:
Degree, or equivalent, in an appropriate engineering discipline and preferably a member of a recognised professional institution.
