KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Monitor Consultant’s performance against responsibilities and authorities issued * Ensure all material submittals/shop drawings are reviewed and returned in a timely manner * Oversee the consultant work including time, cost, quality, progress and site safety. * Ensure that Consultant is coordinating with all parties including statutory authorities * Ensure that all materials for architectural finishing works is approved by the organization * Follow up with Consultant to ensure that all building permit is in order * Ensure that works are executed as per JAFZA requirements and follow inspection procedures as approved ITP’s and Quality Plans. * Report any notice of variation to the project manager * Prepare construction management reports encompassing time, cost, quality and risk and inform subsequently on critical project issues. * Oversee Consultant’s efforts on project closeout plan adhering to Snagging / De-snagging, O & M, As built drawings, other project documentations etc. * Inform Employer on day to day issues of damage. * Financial management project, ensuring that the proposed programme of works has been implemented and pursued.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education / Experience
Degree in Engineering (Civil, construction, structural etc etc), with at least 7 years experience in project management with international firms. Evidence of management of key projects with key companies.
Specific knowledge and skill areas
* Safety Management: To ensure the construction project is executed with appropriate care to prevent accidents that cause or have the potential to cause personal injury of property * Environmental management: To ensure the impact of the project execution to the surrounding environment will remain within the limits stated in legal permits. * Financial Management: To manage the financial resources for the project and is more concerned with revenue source and analysing/updating net cash flows for the construction project than is cost management. * Claim Management: To eliminate or prevent construction claims from arising and for the expeditious handling of claims when they do occur. |
