Our client specialises in the provision of planning, design and management services for infrastructure development worldwide. With interests in transportation, water, maritime and property, the company is undertaking commissions in over 70 countries from a network of more than 70 offices. They are now in need of an experienced Chief Resident Engineer and Resident Engineer who will take an active part in helping them achieve their ambitious plans for growth over the next few years.
KEY ROLE OBJECTIVE
* Supervise EPC contracts * Undertake delegated powers and duties
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The priorities of this role include administration of the construction contracts, and maintaining relationships with related organisations, including:
* Administration the of construction contracts; * Active monitoring of construction quality standards and progress; * Preparation of reports for the company and the client; * Management of the foreign and local sub-consultants team, * Liaison with Client Site representatives * Liaison with local sub-consultant(s), * Making presentations to VIP Client / Government representatives, * Reporting to the Project Manager in Dubai.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
* The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge. * Degree in civil engineering or relevant subject at internationally recognised institution; Member of relevant professional organisation preferred * Previous Site supervision experience at CRE or other senior level involving related maritime construction activities * Able to work with Client in complex organisational relationship, involving influential local main contractor and foreign subcontractors * Substantial experience of construction of related major port facilities * Previous work in Middle East or other relevant overseas locations * Fluent in English language |
