A leading international consultancy with an annual Group turnover in excess of £200 million are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work in their Poland office and on a variety of different projects (commercial, retail, industrial / logistics, hotels, residential and mixed use properties).
The role would suit a RICS qualified QS who wishes to broaden their European experiences. With the Central Eastern European Market attracting a huge amount of interest and money from investors in the construction market, this is a very exciting role.
Responsibilities
• Establishing initial budget plans
• Updating budgets during investment progress
• Looking at Final accounts
• Variation order/procurement - reviewing offers issued by contractors
• Cost estimation of required works of defined scope of works
• Establishing and managing of cost database
Skills / Experience Required
• Fluent in Microsoft Word & Excel
• Experience in all phases of a contract (pre, during and post, final account)
• FIDIC contracts experience (forms)
• Measurement types knowledge: POM
• Costs report writing and clarity of presentation are essential.
• An international mix of clients (mostly English speaking) requires strong language skills.
• A knowledge of Polish would be useful but is not essential (the office is bi-lingual).
