My Client provides solutions to the Oil and Gas sector and are a leading independent supplier of engineering and specialist services to the industry and they are seeking a naval architect. They provide services across a wide range of disciplines covering fixed and floating offshore structures, terminals, refineries, petrochemical plants and pipelines. This Company has worked on over 1,000 Oil and Gas installations and 60% of their revenues in this sector come from beyond the North Sea.
The London division is a close-knit group of engineers from a range of disciplines including naval architects, mechanical and civil engineers. The office is involved in specialist naval architecture jobs, Ministry of Defence projects and supporting other departments, complete with a stimulating and diverse workload.
Requirements
As Naval Architect, your role will include the following: · B.Eng (Hons), M.Eng or MSc (or equivalent) in Naval Architecture, Ship Science or other relevant subject · Minimum Class 2:1/Distinction (or equivalent) required · Chartered Engineer or progressing towards Chartership · Experience in the design and assessment of floating offshore structures Experience
Desirable experience would include the following: · motions analysis · mooring system design and analysis · knowledge of Classification Society codes · FE analysis · Practical/operational experience would be valuable
