SENIOR COST MANAGER - M&E - LONDON
Our Client provides a wide and growing range of clients all over the world with a professional consultancy service based on what they believe are the fundamental criteria for the successful delivery of every commission they undertake. We are seeking a Senior Cost Manager (M&E) to work with the Associate Director to undertake the commercial management of the M&E (building services) portion of a challenging £100m+ project within our Health & Science sectors such that it is delivered on time and within budget.
The main responsibilities of the successful applicant will include:
Controlling M&E costs for the project within the approved budget Production of cost plan at each RIBA design stage Managing scope & design change in conjunction with the design team Managing risk through all stages of the project Ensuring the M&E design is delivering value in terms of both capital cost & lifecycle considerations Managing the procurement process Managing post-contract payment applications & variations
Job activities and duties:
M&E cost planning and cost control through all stages of the project, Input to design and project team meetings Production of cost option appraisals Input to the procurement process Production of tendering documentation and tender negotiations Post-contract commercial management & progress reporting
Skills, knowledge and qualifications:
Good technical knowledge of M&E and experience of M&E cost planning and post-contract works for hospitals and laboratories. Good team-working, interpersonal, time management, task prioritisation and reporting skills. No requirement to be RICS accredited and formal qualifications not essential if applicants can demonstrate all of the skills identified above.
