Works Inspector (Bridges & Structures) ?25-37K
Role:
We are currently looking for two Works Inspector's within their Bridges and Structures team. Each Inspector is expected to support the Projects team by inspecting works being undertaken on site, thereby ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality requirements are being adhered to, and to provide assistance and guidance to contractors where required.
Duties:
Inspection of Civil Engineering Works, thereby ensuring work is properly checked and complies to quality and standards;
Completing daily report sheets and a site diary to record progress and key issues, as well as plant and labour allocations;
Ensuring contractors comply with approved method statements, HSEQ Plans and construction drawings, and that the works on site conform to agreed procedures;
Liaising with site construction staff;
Managing own work to time and quality;
Ensuring safe systems of work are being implemented;
Skills:
Sound proven expertise of working in a safety conscious civil engineering and construction environment and with exposure to a broad range of expertise;
Good oral and written communication;
Preferably a Member of the Institute of Clerk of Works;
Ideally, familiarity with relevant operational constraints
