Our client, the UK's leading rail maintenance company which develops Britain's tracks, signalling system, rail bridges, stations etc., is currently looking for a Technical Project Manager (Mobile Services) based in London.
Our client has a major role to play in the design, development, implementation and operation of one of the largest rail projects in the UK and will be the Infrastructure Manager for the central stations and will be directly responsible for a number of key projects during the design and build. The successful Technical Project Manager (Mobile Services) will manage a number of technical projects but will have principle responsibility for the Mobile Services Project.
The Role
The successful Technical Project Manager (Mobile Services) will be in charge of:
· Delivery and Implementation of the platform to the group
· Review project requirements, providing estimates, technical support and relevant project documentation
· Formulate and direct the implementation of improvements
· Manage the wider matrix project team and all project activities outside of the immediate team. Establishing expectations, setting goals, trouble shooting and providing support and additional resources as appropriate
· Develop and manage work packages and governance structures appropriate to the needs of the project to ensure future phases can be successfully implemented, operated and enforced
Desirable Experience, Skills and Qualifications
The successful Technical Project Manager (Mobile Services) will ideally have:
· Experience of delivering mobile projects
· Design Management, Integration, Implementation with a functional & technical knowledge of i.e. RSS, XML, xPay, J2ME, NFC, XHTML, SMPP, SMS, Java…
· Excellent implementation skills and an ability to see activities through completion
· Extensive project and/or programme management experience, including leading a Project Management office (PMO)
