SPECIALIST SEARCH TECHNICIAN
£26,336 - £32,455 plus £3,209 location allowance - London, SE1
As one of our Specialist Search Technicians, you’ll play a vital role using your technical knowledge to support police officers in their front line fight against terrorism. This will involve everything from delivering innovative technology to aid search operations to helping to procure new technology to help protect our city. Part of a small team of technical experts, you’ll work alongside external government agencies and private companies behind the scenes at some of the world’s most high-profile locations.
We’re looking for a strong team player with a sound technical knowledge of security technology covering everything from metal detection, x-ray systems and radar to thermal imaging and trace detection. As well as a proven track record in the field, you’ll also need a minimum NVQ level 3 qualification or, ideally, a relevant City & Guilds, ONC, HNC or BTEC and a Category B driving licence. Good interpersonal skills are also a must, as are the flexibility and resilience to deliver in changing work environments.
