This is a rare opportunity to progress your career in Facilities Management within an acclaimed global cost and project management consultancy – and for once previous consultancy experience is not absolutely necessary.
My client has grown its FM team from scratch to 20-strong in the past three years, and is looking to replicate this growth over the next two years. They provide a consultative service to a range of clients, including blue chip organisations, with the aim of saving money and improving efficiency. This may include tasks such as setting up SLAs from scratch, renegotiating existing contracts or advising on alternative accommodation and facilities staff. They also offer a hands-on service, supplying consultants to cover interim roles, or to manage large moves and changes – but always with a consultative eye. This means you must have good all-round practical experience setting up and managing all areas of facilities, and the ability to take a strategic overview of existing and potential ways of doing things.
This particular vacancy requires someone in a dual role for the first six months. 1-2 days of your week will be spent as a consultant in the Head Office in the West End. If you do not have previous experience within a consultancy, do not let this put you off, as excellent training will be given to the right candidate. The remaining 3-4 days will be spent initially in a secondment to a large multinational organisation based in London Bridge, and here you will be involved in large scale churn, as well as reviewing all services with a view to improvement.
After this initial six months... your career will go wherever you want it to. You may have the option of another secondment, or full-time consultancy work, either with several smaller accounts, or maybe even becoming account manager and devoting all your time to a single client facing role.
