Building Maintenance Engineer – London (Heathrow) – to £28k+

As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are seeking to recruit an experienced Building Maintenance Engineer, reporting to the Maintenance Manager and responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of buildings and in-house equipment as required.
This will include the maintenance and repair of buildings, plant and equipment as scheduled, the strip and repair / rebuild of electrical motors and pumps, mechanical motors and gearboxes and carrying out installation of three-phase and 240V wiring looms and manufacture wiring looms for machinery, so possession of 16th Edition IEE regs is an essential requirement.
Additionally you will carry out electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis on a vast scope of different equipment throughout the unit, and it is therefore essential that you be able to read and understand complicated circuit diagrams. You will also carry out repairs on minor main boiler faults and steam pressures, including pressure release valves, one way valves and pressure reducing valves and undertake daily checks of boiler house, refrigerators, cookers, conveyor belts, etc and maintain associated log sheets (reporting any issues to the Maintenance Manager accordingly).
You will demonstrate the ability to understand, use, repair and carry out fault diagnosis on hydraulics, gas (industrial), plumbing and associated pipe work, refrigeration, air conditioning and engineering & mechanical structures and equipment whilst maintaining good housekeeping, undertaking other duties as and when required.
Working on a 2 shift system (early / late) – the salary for the position is £28,283 and it is essential that you are based within a 45 minute radius of Heathrow Airport in order that customer callout KPI’s can be achieved and maintained.
