Engineering Services Manager
Location: London
Salary: Up to £43,200
Or client is currently seeking an Engineering Services Manager who is High Voltage cleared and has Data Centre experience.
PURPOSE:
To manage contractual and financial aspects of Specialist Subcontractor base. Be responsible for day to day management of operational performance, health, safety and welfare. To manage and be responsible for day and shift team supervisors performance.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:
•Manage the prompt issue and completion of all PPM and reactive works in landlord & tenants areas. Including personal responsibility for the issue and completion of specialist subcontractor ppm and reactive works. •Maintenance of records for PPM system, schedule, and filing on the Concept system. Issue of information for monthly report to the client. •Management of Quotations and delivery of all repairs to landlords and tenant areas. With responsibility for the process of Specialist Subcontractor orders. •Maintain accurate records and budget control of works done and expenditure, using this information to report to the CSM on a monthly basis. •Manage tool box talk requirements utilising the Building Operation Supervisors. •Manage and administer C.O.S.H.H. Police quality completion by delegates
QUALIFICATIONS: Essential •City & Guilds Parts 1,2, and 3 (Electrical and Electronic craft Studies 232) or (Electrical Installation 2360) or equivalent, 16th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers (I.E.E) Registration or Electrical Apprenticeship – gained within the building maintenance industry, •NVQ Level 2-3 (or equivalent) (Electrical and Mechanical Discipline)
Desirable
•HNC / HND / Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Endorsement. •HNC / HND / Degree in Building Services Engineering (High level of electrical content) •Membership to the Institute of Safety and Health (IOSH) or equivalent
EXPERIENCE: Essential •Two years supervisory experience gained within a multi-discipline hard services environment managing a team of 12+ persons •A good working knowledge of trades such as– Plumbing; HVAC systems, Controls, and Refrigeration •Sound Mechanical and electrical knowledge working as an HV A.P. •Experience in managing computer PPM management systems (Concept). •Experience in managing a Help Desk •Fault diagnosis and rectification experience •Be conversant with current Health and Safety legislation with relevance to safe working practices. •Sound level of administration/organisational skills
Desirable •Five years experience gained within a multi-discipline maintenance hard services environment in a supervisory role •Practical knowledge and ability of Microsoft packages - Word, Excel. •Prior experience with permits to work (Authorised Person electrically / mechanically) •Prior experience of Building Management Systems
