Our client is one of the UK's largest water suppliers and due to the investment programmes through the group they are presently seeking an Electrician. As part of the Sewerage Pumping Station Team, the Craftsman Electrician will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of assets for Sewerage within the Shropshire and Montgomeryshire region.

DUTIES
1. Carry out direct planned and breakdown maintenance on a wide electrical systems up to 415 volts.
2. Maintenance of electrical distribution and process control equipment, including programmable logic controllers, temperature, flow, level and pressure reactive control systems.
3. Basic Mechanical skills required long with a good overall general knowledge.
4. May be required to participate in a stand-by rota.
5. Ensure the Health and Safety of yourself, colleagues, visitors and members of the public.
6. Own assigned maintenance activities through to completion.
7. Identify and order appropriate spares.
8. Maintain effective communication with colleagues and other departments

EXPERIENCE
· Working within a similar role.
· Basic Mechanical skills.
· Experience of working on a wide range of process control equipment including programmable logic controllers, temperature, flow, level, pressure and chemical dosing systems.
· Good general knowledge of workshop practise.
· Experience of fault finding and carrying out repairs.
Desirable:
· NVQ in Instrumentation Maintenance.
· Experience of electrical work.
· Working knowledge of water treatment processes.
Knowledge of IEE 16th Edition Electrical regulations

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
· Full apprenticeship or equivalent.
· Formal electrical / instrument qualification.
· Full Clean Driving License.
Desirable:
· BTEC or HNC in a related subject area.
Multi skilled in relevant mechanical or instrumentation discipline
· Knowledge of 16th Edition Electrical regulations
