What is the Role?
We currently have an opportunity for a Project Engineer to help successfully deliver investigation and design on various rail projects throughout the UK. Working within an established rail business, this is an exciting and challenging role within a supportive team, with a buoyant workload and a variety of challenges.
The role involves the following:
· Responsibility for managing a small team of engineers and technicians · Responsibility for delivering projects to time and budget · Daily management of projects · Client liaison, internal and external · Financial reporting and cost control of projects · Tenders and fee proposal · Supervising of site work · Liaison with contractors and sub contractors
Who are the likely candidates?
Suitable applicants must demonstrate good leadership skills, be a self-starter and team player. The role demands some flexibility to meet the demands of the rail industry as some night / weekend working will be required. Ideally you will have practical experience of civil engineering works, preferably within a rail consultancy environment, including Trackbed investigation and / or design & Permanent Way Design.
What Skills do I need?
You will need to demonstrate the following:
· Strong Communication skills · Good IT skills · Civil or related degree considered, or · OND/HND in Civil Engineering · Chartered or working towards it (not essential) · PTS desirable · Driving license Our Methodology
