Our Client is involved in consultancy work of all aspects of structural and building engineering, they are fully conversant with the use of all types of construction methods and building materials, and they are active in promoting research in the development of new aspects of construction.
The Structural Engineering Unit, within our clients Office, is currently undergoing a rapid expansion programme. They are looking for individuals with the desire to participate in this exciting period of development, and who are looking to further their careers in a regional office of a major firm of consulting engineers.
Current and potential structural projects in the office include design works for the Cross rail project, together with other major projects in the power, manufacturing, waste, rail, petrochemical, nuclear and pharmaceutical industries. These positions offer the opportunity to work in a quality multidisciplinary office environment in Nottingham.
Responsibilities/ Requirements
Supervising and coordinating the detailing and drafting of all Construction drawings
Design and detailing
Preparation of structural layouts using AutoCAD
Drafting of Structural layouts, Rebar drawings and Bending Schedules
Liaising with Architects and Quantity Surveyors
Considerable post qualification experience in general structural engineering design projects.
A Masters degree would be desirable.
Experience in Building Structures or Infrastructural projects.
Demonstrable experience in reinforced concrete and steel.
Good communication skills in IT, verbal and written forms.
Demonstrate enthusiasm, motivation and commitment.
A willingness and desire to achieve professional success in a major consultancy environment
