JUNIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR
LOCATION: CONINGSBY, LINCOLNSHIRE
SALARY: £25,000 per annum + Car or Car Allowance + Benefits
OUR CLIENT:
Our client focus on maintaining, installing and managing the systems and services that support the operation of buildings and infrastructure in a wide variety of environments. They are currently looking to build their team of Quantity Surveyor's to focus on Defence Projects.
The Role:
Working in a team you will be carry out a full range of QS services (estimating, cost planning, cost/risk analysis, whole life cost modelling) on a range of Defence Projects.
Responsibilities:
(In conjunction with a Senior Quantity Surveyor)
- Carry out estimating and cost planning.
- Manage the pre-tender process for projects.
- Monitor and advise on available budgets.
- Liaise with Risk Managers to assess risk values to be included with estimates.
- Ensure all relevant Commercial processes are adhered to.
- Undertake post-contract QS duties as required, in order to control costs, administer change control and report accordingly.
- Create and maintain a database of supplier and subcontractor rates and prices gained in the process of competitive tendering.
Requirements
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Knowledge of Schedule of Rates.
