The Client
Our client is an expanding building surveying practice looking to develop their business throughout the country. The practice is located in the pleasant surroundings of the Northamptonshire countryside away from the hustle and bustle of a city centre. The company is run by 3 partners with a total of 7 staff and has been established since the early 1990's. They deal with projects nationwide within the commercial sector and also carry out professional survey work. Examples of projects worked on include an Industrial estate refurb (£1 million), Historic surveying work for English Heritage (£100,000), and also projects within the Heath and Education sectors (£1 million).
The Role
The Client wants an RICS chartered candidate who has a strong commercial background with experience in offices, industrial and retail sectors. Private practice experience is desirable and the candidate will be given an autonomous, hands on role, where they will be given as much Building Surveying work as they can handle. This will include all aspects of building surveying including:
- Building, Condition and Measured Surveys
- Defects Investigations
- Drawing Services
- Schedules of Condition & Dilapidation
- Party Wall Awards
- Disability Access Audits & Alterations
- Feasibility and Option Studies
- Local Authority Planning and Building Control Applications
- Project Management
- Extensions, Alterations & Refurbishments
- Ecclesiastical Quinquennial Reports and Building Repairs
- Listed Building Reports & Repairs
- Forward Maintenance Plans
- Fire Safety Audit
