Our client is part of a global Energy & Environmental Group and provides engineered boiler solutions, including low NOx burners, biomass co-firing, boiler control systems and plant upgrades, for utility and industrial boilers

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Lead Engineer with an extensive background in the power generation industry.

You would be working as part of a team of multi-disciplined team of engineers and your responsibilities would include leading the Project Design Teams in close collaboration with the Project Manager to ensure quality in design is achieved, on time and to budget; ensuring adherence to the Quality Management System and compliance with department standards; co-ordination and leadership of design review/freeze meetings; leading engineering co-ordination meetings. You will be able to confidently represent the Head of Engineering when required and report on project issues.

Essentially the successful candidate will:-

· Be a professional engineer, educated to degree level or equivalent.
· Have extensive experience within the power generation industry.
· Have experience of owning and controlling budgets and engineering schedules.
· Be fully IT competent.
· Have a clean driving licence.
· Have good written and verbal communication skills.
· Be able to work unsupervised and also make a major contribution to the success of the project teams.
· Be able to lead, supervise and develop a team of engineers.

The post will be based in the Derby, although as the Company's work involves projects in the UK and overseas. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake site visits both in the UK and overseas in order to gather further information relevant to their design activities.
