Senior Simulation Engineer – to £35k Northamptonshire
Our client is renowned as a global market leader in the supply of bespoke materials handling solutions for a diverse range of applications, and as a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, the company are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic and self motivated Senior Simulation Engineer to compliment their existing team.
The successful candidate will manage and develop AutoMod simulation and emulation models for a range of complex Automated Material Handling Systems, and be tasked with the delivery of coherent, verified and validated simulation solutions that reduce the risks and improve the opportunities of a Project.
You will be responsible for all aspects of Simulation specification, Testing, Pre-sales simulation and Sub-system design simulation as well as Complex solution simulation and Solution emulation, with the model being interfaced to the high level control system and using accurate graphical presentation and low level generic and specific control algorithms as applicable.
Additionally you will undertake and chair both Design reviews and Simulation reviews to ensure smooth project delivery and implementation, with exceptional communication and liaison skills a prerequisite when working with other teams and divisions including Solution Integration Managers, Project Managers and Engineers, the Business Development Team and Systems Project Managers and Architects.
To be considered for this challenging and responsible role, you will possess a full driving licence and demonstrate at least 3 years experience in the use of AutoMod discrete simulation software. Additionally, you will possess programming skills in C/C++, VB and ActiveX and be experienced in both modelling and designing applications in warehousing, materials handling and logistics environments.
