KEY DUTIES Conduct detailed pipe modelling, stress analysis, c/w seismic assessment, supporting assessments including spring support specification. Conduct verification of subcontractor design work, such as calculations, computer models and drawings. Estimation of bills of quantities and site surveys in response to client enquiries. Work with branch and HQ engineers, site installation and proposal teams from client enquiry through to project implementation regarding mechanical pipe design aspects. Produce Pipe Material Technical Specifications and Pipe Design Specifications.
Working on site as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Minimum Qualifications HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical engineering with pipe design components. Preferred Qualifications HND Mechanical Engineering with pipe design components Engineering Council Registered Engineer Experience Experienced in Piping Design within the thermal power or wider experience within the oil and gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, nuclear or other heavy industries. KEY COMPETENCIES Knowledge and understanding of ASME B31.1, B31.3, BS806 and related standards. Knowledge and of HS&E legislation related to products and services. Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9000 series and Quality standards related to products and services. Knowledge and understanding of PED and its application. Knowledge of either; PSA 5 or Autopipe and Isopipe advantageous. Effective application of product codes and standards Effective communications skills Effective report writing Effective document management PC skills
