Outage Coordinator needed for steam turbine department

Your Role is:
Development and preparation of technical design proposals for steam turbine upgrade projects suitable for tendering bid proposals and initial contract design - Reporting to the Head of Thermodynamics Group. You will be expected to Support all aspects of the technical tender design, bid preparation and tender documentation.
You will be working in a strong successful tendering team based in Rugby (currently 36 personnel) comprising of mechanical and thermodynamic engineers together with tender managers. Development of effective working relationships with the other tendering teams and internal/external partners will be crucial in achieving success.
Main Tasks Include:
Provide Installation Management specialist support for tendering & Capture in development of competitive tenders for complex integrated projects as well as for standard scope steam turbine retrofits; integrated retrofits, fossil or nuclear retrofits or industrial steam turbine installations. This extends to the preparation for and participation in customer meetings and promotions as well as support for internal tender approvals process
On occasion represent the TSR Installation Management group at promotional and customer oriented events and conferences, including the preparation and presentation of technical papers
Define Site Management and contract structure for Installation sub-suppliers
Required Skills:
Degree qualified (Mechanical Engineering, alternative Electrical Eng.) or equivalent relevant experience. Recognised staff management training or Project Management training is an advantage, e.g. CNSG Safety passport course, ECITB courses for site supervisors, etc.
It is expected that the successful candidate will have:
The ideal candidate will have demonstratable international experience in power station erection and steam turbine maintenance including responsibility for both the planning and execution phases.
Demonstrated installation management skills including planning and execution for steam turbines upgrades.
Experience as overall site outage manager with full responsibility for achieving outage objectives and targets covering schedule, budgets, specifications and safety standards.
Proven responsibility for management of sub-contractors and site staff.
Working knowledge of planning software and techniques an advantage (P3(e), MS-Project, etc.)
Overall plant systems knowledge required above and beyond the turbine.

Salary Details depends on experience
Hours of Work 37 hours per week.(flexi-time)
Holiday Entitlement 25 days per year basic entitlement. Floating bank holidays – agreed annually. Holiday pro-rata during 1st year of employment.
