Methods Development Engineer needed for steam turbine design department

The company designs, manufactures and supplies state-of-the-art products and systems to the power generation - for gas, coal, and hydro power plants - and industrial markets
Your Role is:
To work within a methods team to drive the development of methods tools and processes to support the strategic objectives of the Steam Turbines retorfit (STR) business. Specific technical skills in one or all of thermodynamics, mechanical analysis, design and aerodynamics would be of benefit.
Experience in steam turbine design, Awareness of current tools and processes, Previous experience in working with software tool development a benefit. Some relevant experience would be an advantage
Main Tasks Include:
Identifying the retrofit business needs for improved tools and methods Defining or having defined the technical algorithms and methods to be encapsulated in the tools Producing or having produced the technical documentation Ensuring ratification of new tools through appropriate R&D steering teams Ensuring incorporation into e-folders Ensuring clear specification of software requirements to software developers, and validating or having validated the received software Representing the retrofit business needs within TMG engineering tool development programmes

Salary Details depends on experience
Hours of Work 37 hours per week.(flexi-time)
Holiday Entitlement 25 days per year basic entitlement. Floating bank holidays – agreed annually. Holiday pro-rata during 1st year of employment.
