Mechanical Engineer – to £40k Leicester
Our client is recognized as a market leader in the provision of bespoke integrated solutions to the automated handling sector, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, are seeking to recruit experienced Mechanical engineers of all levels to compliment their existing team.
Tasked with generating state of the art specifications, design schemes, systems and layouts for a complex range of materials handling applications, the successful candidate will work on projects from initial concept specification and design, through justification and analysis stages, and ultimately to test and commissioning at customer sites throughout the UK, whilst taking a leading role within an integrated team of project partners, identifying and coordinating the resolution of any issues that may arise and contributing to the general overall project programme including considerations for phased implementation and handover.
As a systems integrator, the organisation work closely with its customer to ensure their needs are satisfied through the provision of “best in class” process solutions, and it is therefore essential that candidates be able to demonstrate effective communication, personal planning and organisational skills to meet these customer requirements.
To be considered for this exceptional Senior Mechanical position, you will possess a relevant mechanical engineering degree together with Chartered status (or the potential to acquire this) and be able to demonstrate “hands on” practical experience of performing accurate site surveying allied to complex conveyor systems – including building features and M&E services etc. A working knowledge of ARM analysis and handling system design in accordance with ISO9001 is also required.
With ideally at least 3 years experience in a similar environment and demonstrating a thorough working knowledge of AutoCAD (ideally release 2006) or Inventor (for 3D design), experience of conveyor systems allied to manufacturing, mechanical handling or process environments will prove to be distinctly advantageous.
