Design Manager - c£40k- £45k (negotiable) Ref: PTR08/360 - Derby
Our client is a world renowned engineering consultancy, employing more than 9,000 people across the globe and having a presence in more than 15 countries. With an annual turnover in excess of £400m, they work on a consultancy basis with various engineering and technical sectors that include Aerospace, Automotive and Nuclear clients for both Defence and Energy applications.
As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic and accomplished Design Office Management professional to compliment and oversee the activities of an established multifunctional team.
To be considered for this challenging and highly rewarding role, candidates will demonstrate considerable experience gained within an engineering design environment, and in the successful direction and management of teams of up to 50 engineers that include multidiscipline engineering design and project personnel. In addition to possessing exceptional communication and organisational skills, you will be responsible for the effective control of all resources from project staff allocation through to budgetary control, so effective planning and man management abilities are essential to the post.
With a range of teams undertaking various design and test activities on safety critical high value projects, this position will ideally suit an experienced, articulate and most importantly, commercially astute Design Manager seeking a fresh challenge within an organisation committed to the highest levels of customer service and quality.
