MATERIAL ANALYSIS ENGINEER / NORTHAMPTONSHIRE / £30K-£35K + BENEFITS

* In this challenging position, the MATERIAL ANALYSIS ENGINEER will work with Process Engineers providing structural & material analysis, interpreting results to drive process improvement
* You will also provide fast turn round material characterisation & a failure analysis service
We are keen to hear from experienced MATERIAL ANALYSIS ENGINEERS with talents as follows:
- Knowledge of semiconductor materials analytical characterization techniques & tools
- Able to interpret results of in-house/contract analysis to promote an understanding of the effect of structure on semiconductor properties & material failure modes
- Exp of TEM sample preparation techniques
- Good manual dexterity
- Able to work independently providing fast turn round characterisation of routine samples as well as in depth analysis of product failures
- Operational exp with TEM / FIB & able to troubleshoot instrument issues, e.g realign analysis beam
- Exp of defect formation in semiconductor materials, preferably Indium Phosphide |
