Systems Engineer (Proposals) - to £46k (negotiable) – Derby
Our client is renowned as a market leader in the provision of innovative and bespoke integrated systems solutions to the transportation infrastructure industry.
Offering a range of highest quality services that encompass Project Management and Implementation, Consultancy and Software Development to blue chip clients worldwide, as a result of continued success and an ongoing planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced Systems Engineer to effectively support the highly successful Sales team and ultimately devise technical proposals and cost estimates for a diverse range of multi million pound projects.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, with additional support provided initially by both the Technical Director and the highly motivated and dynamic sales force, the successful candidate will be an experienced systems engineer able to demonstrate both experience in the management of subcontractors and also an interest in the commercial aspects of projects, with the intention that after a period of training and development, they become responsible for the generation of technical proposals and cost estimates for various multi value, high technology projects. Of particular interest therefore is a background working with infrastructure and an ability to derive integrated system architectures.
To be considered for this exceptional opportunity, you will have gained exposure to the controls industry ideally, and will demonstrate the ability to be able to effectively perform multiple project costing and solutions provision, working from an initial design or project specification and considering all aspects from labour and material costs through to subcontractor liaison and materials availability, generating realistic, attractive and profitable proposals whilst working under your own initiative.
Additionally, it is essential that you possess an articulate, dynamic and effective style of communication as you will be ultimately responsible for presenting the technical business proposal to clients as part of the winning sales team.
