SENIOR SAFETY ENGINEERS
ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY – OFFSHORE OIL AND GAS
LOUGHBOROUGH/ABERDEEN


Our client is a premier provider of engineering consultancy services that aid offshore operators improve in their performance. With origins in British Gas in the UK and Stoner Associates in the US, they have a proven track record of over 30 years experience servicing more than 550 clients in over 50 countries.

One of this company’s main areas of expertise is hazard and risk management for the oil and gas industry. They are currently recruiting experienced hazard and risk assessment engineers to deliver an exciting range of safety work, both to clients in the UK and overseas.

Dependent upon experience, working within, or under the direction of our client’s management team, responsibilities may include interaction with Operators and design houses and delivery of work in the following example areas:

• Safety Case updates and development for offshore and onshore sites and pipelines
• Hazard and risk decision support including options analysis, safety analysis of modifications to existing plant and/or infringements to codes of practice
• Consequence and quantified risk assessment of major hazards, including fires, explosions, gas dispersion and smoke dispersion.

Requirements for the post are a degree (2:1 or higher) in Physics, Mathematics or Engineering (relevant post graduate qualifications and/or chartered status would be an advantage). Experience in the development and/or application of quantitative hazard and risk analysis techniques would be a distinct advantage. You must also have the flexibility to carry out occasional offshore and foreign visits. The posts will suit candidates who have the ability to take their own initiative and are able to work as part of a team.
