Based with a long established market leader in the design and manufacture of acoustic noise control solutions, you will be responsible for producing 2D/3D general arrangement and detail drawings using Solid Edge. Ideally, you will be qualified to HNC standard or equivalent, and be a competent user of Solid Edge. Experience would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given if required.
The successful candidate should be a highly motivated individual, with the ability to communicate technical subjects, an attention to detail and who is able to work closely with others. You should have excellent written and communication skills with personal organisation skills being important as you will have responsibility for a number of contracts with separate deadlines. General duties will include:
To produce all detail and arrangement drawings required by the company in a timely manner.
To achieve or improve the deadlines established for each project.
To communicate with other departments and derive the most cost effective method of manufacture, before commencement of draughting.
To register and issue drawings in line with the company standards.
Ensure all draughting is carried out in accordance with the relevant British Standards and the current company standard.
Visit site and client as necessary.
Any suitable applicant should be willing to attend site as and when required, be a good communicator,
and be able to fit in within a drawing office of 14 people (ages range from 20 to 63) |
