Job Description
My clients are one of the largest and most successful multi-disciplined consultancies in Europe with offices in over 40 countries worldwide.
They are seeking a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join the geotechnics team in their Derby Office. The current office workload is varied and interesting, including site investigation and reporting for development projects (including Brownfield land), site investigation and geotechnical design work for Environment Agency flood defence scheme as well as geotechnical input to a variety of civil engineering infrastructure projects.
Requirements
The successful candidate should satisfy the following:
Graduate in Civil Engineering Geology/Geotechnical engineering, preferably with an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering
or a graduate geologist with a post graduate geotechnical qualification Preferably working towards chartered status
Solid experience in ground investigation and geotechnical design work, gained with a consultant or ground engineering contractor.
Previous experience of slope stability analysis and/or sheet pile design.
Valid UK driving license
