Electrical Project Engineer – to £38k – Northamptonshire
Our client is renowned as a global market leader in the supply of bespoke materials handling solutions for a diverse range of applications, and as a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, the company are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic and self motivated Electrical Project Engineer to compliment their existing team.
Reporting to the Controls Technical Manager, the successful candidate will provide detailed specifications, design and cost data for Conveyor and Crane Control Systems which compliment the overall concept designs developed by Client Solutions.
You will be responsible for the design of Power Distribution Systems and the management of power distribution sub-contracts and sub-contractors and for the provision of technical sales support and for the preparation of conceptual design solutions, producing operational descriptions for all proposals and ensuring that solutions meet all relevant regulations and codes of practice.
Liaising with other pre-sales functions to synchronize workload, you will provide detailed and accurate costs for solutions and will be directly responsible for costing all the way through into live Projects, whilst ensuring a smooth handover from pre-sales into Controls Engineering and including estimated versus actual costs for secured projects.
Responsible for control system proposals from £10k to £3m in value, the successful candidate will possess at least 5 years experience of Siemens / Allen Bradley or other leading PLC platform software house, and be able to demonstrate experience in Power Distribution design ideally along with knowledge of the warehousing and distribution sector and a relevant engineering qualification.
