Contract CAD Engineer Chesterfield, Derbyshire £10-12ph 6mth with a view to go permanent
The project engineering functions are defined as, but not limited to, developing the design, procurement, build, operating and hand-over of the companies Product Recovery Systems (PRS) and ancillary equipment to its customers:
DESIGN & SUPPLY OF PRS (MAIN PROJECT ENGINEERING FUNCTIONS) Project Engineers will be expected to contribute to or where appropriate lead: • Design and production of drawings using, Solidworks. • Generation of Bills of Material • Procurement of components.. • Assembly and test PRS, complete with QA documentation. • Prepare and issue O & M Manuals. • Delivery of components of PRS c/w ancillary equipment to site. • Installation of PRS c/w ancillary equipment (ancillary equipment includes Pumps, Tubular Heat Exchangers, Clean In Place Sets, etc.). • Commissioning of PRS c/w ancillary equipment. • Training & handover of PRS to customer. • On-going trouble shooting and servicing PRS. • End of project activities such as final cost reports used to compare out turn cost of project.
PROJECTS Help the company to develop: • The procedures and systems used to design, out-source and deliver fully functional PRS. • Action and evolve the Project Management (PM) procedures. • The design of the PRS whilst being mindful of new technologies and manufacturing methods.
QUOTATIONS Work with sales to agree: • Out-sourcing fabrication, off-the-shelf components and delivery, installation etc. • Pricing and maintenance of costing sheets (Microsoft Excel). • Preparation of quotations including drawings and other technical information. • Preparation of re-quotes, inclusive of changes to drawings, components and cost of buying these. • Delivery targets and milestones. • Issuing of Invoices, Purchase Orders and Delivery Notes. Quality & Support • Use and update quality control procedures. • Documentation used to order fabrication and components of PRS. • Test and lifetime reports. • Pre-delivery checks. • Delivery checks etc. • Handover and commissioning. • Troubleshooting and on-going support.
MARPLUG DEVELOPMENT Work with Project Manager and where appropriate coordinate the work used to: • Develop design & specification of Marplug™ • Out source and cost prototype fabrication. • Test and evaluate performance of prototype Marplug. • Revise 5.1 to 5.3 according to results. • Finalise design and purchase limited production runs against orders.
