Currently looking for a senior CAD design technician to be based in the Matlock office. My client is looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual competent with AutoCAD software and with a real desire to drive there team forward. The office is based in central Matlock and is a large open plane office environment. The client is also one of the UK’s top 20 consultants and has a large presence within the Traffic and transportation industry.
You will be asked to design traffic engineering and management projects with AutoCAD adhering with national standards of practice. You will be able to use ARCADY and PICADY modelling software to model current and future traffic levels and be able to alter your designs to compensate for the increase in road use.
You will play a leading role within your team having to attend Town and Parish council meetings and also meet with members of the public for there views on the potential impact of your teams work. This information will then need to be passed on to your Design team and amendments made to the designs.
The idea candidate will have the ability to use KEY signs, lines as well as the standard AutoCAD software. With at lease 5 years experience utilising these skills in the workplace. Having a HND or relevant engineering qualification would also be desirable.
