Senior Street Lighting Technician – East Midlands

The service offering embraces the whole of the project cycle from data collection through feasibility studies, route planning, statutory procedures, design, procurement and site supervision to the management of operations and maintenance activities. Our Client base includes: National Governments, Local Authorities, Contractors and Founders, many of whom have their own procurement guidelines.
The Role -
The specialised Street Lighting Team is expanding therefore looking for a Senior Technician who will assist the Principal Engineer by working on lighting design, site supervision, site surveys and assisting with the training of technicians. The role will include:- preparing Bill of Qualities, specification and drawings; carrying out assessments of existing lighting schemes; working in accordance with procedures prescribed within the Quality Management System and providing support to other staff when necessary.
You will -
You should hold a City & Guilds in Electrical installations and a BTech ONC in Electrical Engineering (desirable). We expect you will be working towards membership of the Institution of Lighting Engineers. You should have an understanding of lighting design software, BS5489, BS7671 and street lighting techniques. You will also have good IT knowledge (Word and Excel) and some CAD knowledge. You will be expected to work in a QA environment both as part of a team and also independently on occasions. Travel will be required as part of the job a full driving license is required.
