Regional Sales Manager based in Chesterfield

Job Description

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing business potential for the Company in assigned geographical territories.

This entails both the co-ordination of their activities with other Regional Sales Managers in the developing of suitable sales strategies to achieve the envisaged success demanded by a business which is recognised as one of the foremost leaders in its specialist markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Presenting the business to the markets, soliciting and processing enquiries, negotiating contracts and analysing market information and trends

  • Man management experience in a capital sales environment

  • Sales negotiations with customers

  • Developing customer relationships

  • Managing and assisting the preparation of bids to meet customer and company requirements

  • Business Sales development including but not limited to presentations, customer visits, development of local agents, intelligence gathering, general promotion of the business.

  • Reporting on all aspects of sales development


  • Educational requirement:

    Hopefully applicants would be educated to BSc and or HNC/HND in engineering discipline

    Essential Skills & Experience

  • Sales and Marketing

  • Customer Development

  • Management experience in a project engineering background in Oil and Gas or Petrochemical or Mechanical Structural industries

  • Engineering background

  • Some relevant experience in export sales of capital equipment would be advantageous

  • Good communication skills

  • Good interpersonal Skills
