Regional Sales Manager Leicester £negotiable
My client is a leading street lighting specialist whom operates through a network of branches throughout the UK providing a diverse range of lighting and communications installation services to local authorities and the private sector. They are currently recruiting for a ‘Regional Sales Manager’ to work from their Midlands Office in Leicester.
Job Purpose - To develop, maintain and improve the regional client base - To increase the levels of enquiries and quotations from the region - To provide account management to existing and potential clients Both the above to be to the criteria set by management as well as to the requirements and timescales of the customer
Main Tasks - Targeting existing and potential client base and organic growth areas in the region by adopting a customer facing proactive approach; - Updating the customer on delays, modifications and progress generally as appropriate to the enquiry timetable and workload; - Reporting results, problems, difficulties, customer criticisms to Development Director; - Ensuring procedures are followed as set by management and enquiries are followed through to ultimate outcome in order that results can be monitored, reported and analysed; - Liaison with other departments and suppliers to ensure an adequate two-way flow of information - Meet or exceed the agreed sales budget by customer and market sector. - Report monthly progress against budget - Develop new long term clients
Skills, Knowledge & Experience Electrical, civil engineering and/or Local Authority background desirable Experience of estimating electrical/civil engineering contracts advantageous Familiar with common electrical/civil engineering conditions of contract Computer literacy with a good level of Excel and PowerPoint
Personality & Characteristics Good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
REMUNERATION & BENEFITS Basic Salary: £negotiable depending on experience Hours: 9.00 to 5.30 Monday to Friday, one hour unpaid lunch break Company Car: According to banding Life Cover: 3 x Annual Salary Pension: 5% Employer Contribution Private Healthcare: Single BUPA membership Leave: 23 days increasing to 24 after 5 year’s service
