A position has become available for an experienced PROCUREMENT MANAGER to join the team of a very successful engineering company based in Norfolk.
The principle responsibilities will include: - Ensuring the department delivers the necessary quality of service to all internal customers - Advise and instruct on procurement procedures and best practice - Review, update and control department systems and processes - Responsible for the analysis and reporting of financial data, producing detailed analysis of procurement activity - Negotiate, monitor and record all Service Level Agreements - Responsible for the purchasing activities and strategy for the business - Understanding of work flow and purchasing cycle in order to deliver procurement services on time and on budget - Manage relationships with existing and prospective suppliers - Line management of the Procurement Coordinator and other department Staff - Control of approved suppliers status
We are seeking someone with the following skills and experience:
- Experience in Procurement Management appropriate to carry out the role - Superb interpersonal and communication skills - UKAS lead auditor qualified - Skilled in negotiating, Contract Law and Purchasing Systems - Excellent Microsoft, Excel, SAP/Navision or MRP II system experience - Proposal writing skills - Setting up databases
