PRODUCT DESIGN ENGINEER / NORFOLK / £NEG
We are keen to hear from Product Design Engineers with a broad mix of skills including:
- Track record of successful product design & development with sound 3D modeling exp
- Automotive exp in a QS9000/TS16949 environment
- Automotive industry product design advantageous, with exp of products used in under bonnet/engine compartment environment.
- Proven Customer project management exp
In this challenging & varied role the PRODUCT DESIGN ENGINEER will meet the objectives & goals of the company in relation to new product development
* Involves New Product design using 3D CAD modeling system
* Product design enhancements through CI & VAVE projects
* Use tools such as FMEA as a pro-active engineering quality method to help identify/counter weak points in the early conception phase
* Identify/design in low cost materials from low cost countries
* Perform feasibility analysis using simulation techniques & real life testing via DOE & other test methods
* Use of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process & associated documents
* Project manage multiple projects
* Responsible for product design & project management in connection with Design Factory project team
* Responsible for bringing creative & innovative ideas into the business to develop & launch new products |
