Our client is part of a large group of companies with sites across East Anglia.
They have a requirement for a Mechanical Engineer to be based at their head office within a central engineering team that coordinates engineering activities across operational sites and is a key part of their engineering function. Key tasks Co-ordination of the entire maintenance budget for the four operational sites, using recognised techniques (RCM, RBI, TPM) to determine maintenance best practice and ensure maximum reliability To continue to build relationships with sister companies to allow easy flow of information between parties. To develop and enhance mechanical engineering, producing and developing engineering standards, To deal with root cause analysis of failures, ensuring that experience gained is shared throughout the business and that systems are put in place to To continue the development of production operations at the four production sites, sharing best practice and rolling out energy and efficiency improvements
Ideal applicants will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a background in heavy industry. Skills in the following areas are prefered: Maintenance planning, with experience of RCM, RBI and TPM Combustion engineering - boiler and direct fired drying operations and design Project concept, design and installation Safety mangement experience and qualifications (NEBOSH)
