Transport Planning/Modelling Team Leader:
We are actively seeking a Transport Planning Team Leader in Cambridge to become integral to one of our clients regional offices. As the main Transportation manager in Cambridge, the Transport Planning Team Leader will be involved in a range of responsibilities ranging from staff management, business development and maintaining and delivering on projects as well as pro-actively assisting in these project directions as necessary. The successful candidate will be integral to managing the team, overseeing projects and their timely delivery to clients. You will also be expected to support clients with transportation projects on network models such as VISUM, SATURN, CONTRAM or EMME/2, and microsimulation projects. Successful candidates will also be involved with economic and environmental appraisal of schemes and policies and providing transport planning, traffic engineering and infrastructure advice to a range of private and public sector clients regionally, nationally and overseas.
The tasks are varied and require a modeller who is able to develop appropriate solutions to often complex issues.

Candidates will have first class numeracy with good computer literacy, data interpretation skills and pragmatic problem solving skills. You should have a degree or equivalent in a transport related, numeric or equivalent subject. It is essential that the ideal candidate has a strong background in Transport Planning but is also capable of developing our clients presence within the regional market.
It is essential that the candidate has an appropriate background relevant to the seniority of this role in transport modelling, preferably within the UK modelling market.
The candidate will need to be committed to providing high quality solutions and advice to clients and have first class communication and technical ability.
The ideal applicant will be required to have a track record in transport modelling, particular network modelling in urban situations plus appraisal using the model results.
