Our client's Cambridgeshire office is looking for a high calibre individual to complement the team and assist with the development and growth of the business.
You will have a varied workload, including infrastructure, transport assessments for developers, Government organisations, etc., and will make a major contribution by supporting a wide range of clients such as local authorities, public transport operators and developers etc.
The workload will include the following:
• Help building their capability on development work and supporting major projects
• A wide range of development work including UK and overseas projects
• Major studies and infrastructure projects.
• Supporting LA frameworks and private sector clients
• Mentoring graduates within the transport planning team
• Taking a lead on a portfolio of projects and contributing to the expansion of business in Cambridgeshire.
• Helping contribute towards establishing a public transport centre of excellence in Cambridgeshire.
You will be degree qualified or equivalent in a numerate discipline or other relevant discipline such as planning or geography and have experience in development planning, including transport assessments and junction analysis, together with an understanding of the planning process, requirements for transport assessments and planning / highways agreements.
Experience and proficiency is also required in the use of TRANSYT, LINSIG, ARCADY, PICADY and in the preparation of Travel Plans,
You will have excellent technical and all-round communication skills and will be a team player with first class negotiation skills.
A competitive salary will be offered, probably in the range of £24 - 29,000 p.a., together with a generous benefits package.
