A tremendous opportunity has arisen within our client's Cambridgeshire office for a Team Leader, who will become integral to the delivery of their current and future portfolio of projects and who will build on their continuing worldwide success and growth.
As the main Transportation Manager in the office, you will be involved in a range of responsibilities, from staff management to business development and maintaining and delivering on projects as well as pro-actively assisting in these project directions as necessary.
Specific responsibilities of the role will include the following:
• Develop our client's regional brand and business operations. • Build the Integrated Transport’s capability, skill set and team • Managing the team • Overseeing projects, ensuring their timely delivery to clients. • Support clients with transportation projects on network models such as VISUM, SATURN, CONTRAM or EMME/2 and Microsimulation using VISSIM, • Economic and environmental appraisal of schemes and policies • Providing transport planning, traffic engineering and infrastructure advice to a range of private and public sector clients regionally, nationally and overseas.
As the tasks are extremely varied, you will need to have the ability to develop appropriate solutions to often complex issues.
You should have a degree or equivalent in a transport related, numeric or equivalent subject together with a strong depth of experience in Transport Planning.
An appropriate level of relevant experience reflecting the seniority of this role in transport modelling, preferably within the UK modelling market is required, particularly network modelling in urban situations together with appraisal using the model results.
With a genuine interest in transport and urban planning issues, you will have first class numeracy skills, excellent technical ability and good computer literacy, data interpretation and pragmatic problem solving skills, together with the ability to work productively in a team.
Our client will offer a competitive salary dependent on the level of appointment, but probably in the range of £35 - £42,000 p.a., together with a generous benefits package.
