Our client is a market leader is the distribution of differentiated products supplied by overseas manufacturing companies. They are already a leading supplier to Food and non-food manufacturing and packaging industries. They have been established for over 25 years and are currently a multi million pound turnover company.
Due to continued expansion and growth they have an urgent requirement for a field service engineer to join their existing team based in the Cambridgeshire area or surrounding counties. The main locations the engineers will be covering will be Cambridgeshire and surrounding counties. Engineers based anywhere in the vicinity of these areas will be ideally placed to do the role.
The Role
The role will involve working from home and traveling to a localised area carrying out planned maintenance calls, breakdown support, installations, customer sales calls and onsite training courses.
The technician must be able to interface with customers in an effective manner, taking ownership for all customer requirements including resolution of all technical issues.
Experience / Skills
• Technical background with at least two years experience of field service or equivalent
• Electrical, Mechanical and Pneumatics experience required.
• PLC experience is an advantage.
• Experience of Automation/Control Engineering and System Integration.
• Formal engineering qualification, C&G, 16th Edition etc.
Our client is offering an attractive package, which includes a basic salary of £25000 with £5000 commission on top of that. Over time is paid also in addition to any commission paid so the potential OTE is in excess of £30000. The company provide a company car which is a Volkswagen Passat, a lap top, a mobile phone, a credit card, a fuel card and full training is given on their product range.
