Our client is a World class environmental consultancy and they are currently looking for a Director with a proven track record in either an Ecology or Environmental Science background to join their office in Cambridge. They have offices throughout the UK and have a massive international presence and employ over 10000 consultants worldwide. The main aim of this role is to provide expertise for existing clients and to market and develop this specialist area for company. The ideal candidate will already be working as an Associate Director or Director within a consultancy environment and have a proven track record in the development of clients and the winning of new business. You must have a wealth of experience in Ecological Impact Assessment, EIA coordination or multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy work and a sound knowledge of biodiversity legislation and policy and the British planning system. A track-record of achievement in one or more markets that are important to the company (eg renewables and other energy, water industry, transport, residential or industrial development) You will also have experience in the in the development of innovative but practical mitigation measures and it is essential that you have a professional membership of one of more relevant professional bodies (IEEM, IEMA or CIWEM).
