Our client offers a full range of engineering services, ranging from small software developments through to full turnkey installations. Due to the continuous growth of the company they are currently looking for Software and Commissioning Engineers to be based in their premises in Cambridgeshire.
Skills Required:
BSC/ONC/HND/OND in an Engineering discipline
Previous PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Rockwell, Mitsubishi etc) or commissioning experience (input/output testing, minor panel modifications, customer training)
SCADA working experience (Wonderware, WinCC etc)
Previous process industry sector experience preferred (Food & Beverage, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas or similar)
The role involves:
To write a software for the control systems (Programmable Logic Controllers- PLC, SCADA)
To specify, plan, test and commission control systems in conjunction with the customer
To provide after sales service and customer training
To give technical support to sales activities (quotations, etc)
You will be responsible for the quality, economy and completeness of your part of the tasks assigned and implementation of your part of the project within the quoted and agreed cost targets and timescale.
