A|D|S takes headline industry partner role at an expanded Aero Engineering 2011 event, accelerating UK Aerospace engineering and supply chain development.
A|D|S, the trade organisation advancing the UK Aerospace, Defence, Security and Space industries is one of the headline industry organisations strategically contributing to and supporting this year’s expanded Aero Engineering 2011 Supply Chain Fair and Industry Briefing, taking place as part of the 2011 Advanced Engineering UK group of events at the NEC, Birmingham on 9 – 10 November 2011 which, together with co-locating events, will host some 350+ exhibitors and 50+ hours of parallel industry presentations and integrated B2B networking opportunities across the advanced engineering and technology sectors.
As the UK’s only dedicated trade event integrating the supply chains for the hugely important UK aerospace structures, powerplant and systems industries – the 2nd largest national aerospace industry in the world, the Aero Engineering event provides an increasingly strategic opportunity for focused technical and commercial dialogue between each level of the UK supply chain – OEM’s, Tier 1-3 sub-assembly, aerostructures, components and systems suppliers, accredited subcontractors and supporting equipment, tooling and technical services providers.
With the volume of exhibitors doubling for 2011, the show provides its largest showcase yet of capability providers supporting the life cycle of specialist aerospace engineering requirements – from Design/R&D programmes through to the Manufacturing, Integration and Assembly environment, and onto aftermarket MRO. With pre-registered visitor numbers already running at three times the level of last year’s event, organisers UK Tech Events predict a record attendance from every quarter of the UK aerospace sector plus increasing interest from overseas customer groups.
Graham Chisnall, Managing Director of Aerospace and Operations at A|D|S comments:
“A|D|S is pleased to have stepped up its participation at the 2011 Aero Engineering event in Birmingham. The UK’s £23.1 billion aerospace industry, the 2nd largest in the world and number 1 in Europe, is built upon R&D, technology and the engineering excellence of the entire supply chain. Because of our work to deliver this firm foundation for the future, A|D|S are delighted to support Aero Engineering 2011, which provides a forum for all engineers to grow their business and learn about the latest technologies.”
Aero Engineering 2011 provides daily visitors with an expanded integrated programme of show-floor presentations from leading technology and industry organisations – with scheduled in-hall sessions including CAE Simulation and Verification, Digital Manufacturing, Test and Inspection, Aero Composites, NADCAP and Process Performance and Improvement. Daily SC21 (21st Century Supply Chains) update sessions, hosted by A|D|S, serve to chart the progress of the key programme accelerating the competitiveness of the UK’s aerospace and defence industry.
Hosted as part of the rapidly growing ‘Advanced Engineering UK – group of events’ annual portfolio, the event provides not only a focused business and technology transfer environment up and down the aerospace engineering supply chain but vast opportunities to explore exhibitors and dip into technical presentations in adjacent and overlapping sectors through the parallel and integrated events – including The Composites Engineering Show 2011, Energy Engineering 2011 UK Business Briefing and Supply Chain Showcase plus the UK Plastic Electronics Show, all collectively representing priority sectors of the UK’s high value technology and engineering capability, fundamental to UK government targets to rebalance the economy in favour of advanced engineering and manufacturing.
Optional ‘delegate’ programmes provide attendees with access to parallel industry Business Briefings offering attending SME’s essential ‘big picture’ forward vision of the developing business and technical landscape within UK aerospace and wider international programmes. They provide essential programme insight and business, technical and skills intelligence – assisting companies to create, modify or confirm their own business strategies from the most informed position.
Dr Neil Calder, Congress and Forums Director for the 2011 show portfolio comments
“If knowledge is power then the availability of these short, sharp and incisive 3-5 year horizon presentations provide supply chain participants, and particularly SME’s, with absolutely vital foresight and intelligence which to plan future plant, capability and skills investment, to pursue breaking UK and International programme opportunities and generally obtain wisdom on the bigger picture of the landscape in which to move their businesses forward”
Online pre-registration is now live – visit www.aeroengineeringshow.com – one visitor badge covers FREE entry to the exhibits hall and Open Forums for all four co locating events. A delegate badge, starting from just £75, allows access to all four parallel industry briefings.
