One of Britain's largest energy suppliers has an exciting opportunity for a Commissioning Engineer to join them in Central London on a 6 month rolling contract.
The Commissioning Engineer will ensure that commissioning activities are conducted in accordance with the relevant Management Systems procedures and Construction Management Documentation procedures. In addition, you will monitor test and commissioning activities relating to installations carried out on the London Underground.
The successful Commissioning Engineer will have experience of commissioning 11KV and above Switchgear from start to finish without supervision. Will have been capable of being a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) and come from a power distribution background. You must have experience in MV switchgear isolations and issuing of permits with a strong background in fault finding and testing of electrical systems. You must also be able to read and write logic control programs and must be familiar with protection (Bus Zone, Translay, differential, O/C E/F, Pole Slip, Frame earth leakage etc), protection relays (Micom, K series, electrometrical, siprotec , ABB, GE Multilin etc) and test equipment (Omicron, Sverker, T&R, Freja).
To be considered for this role you must have experience of commissioning of 11KV and above on power distribution networks and may have previously worked on power, water, wind farm or process industries.
This position is subject to a CRB check and Drugs and Alcohol screening.
