My client is an established Building Services Consultancy recognised as one of the UK's leading companies. Having been established over 25 years ago they offer a bespoke service to the world of engineering covering every aspect of design consultancy the market demands in today's very competitive industry. Project sectors include Education, Health Care, Hotels, Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Stadia etc and they employ over 100 engineers
The office I currently representing is based in the South East of the UK.
The position on offer with my Client is that of a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer.
Ideally Chartered this person can be an engineer already established and proven at this level but can also be a proven Senior Mechanical Engineer who is ready to take that next step in their career.
**Please Note: - being a Chartered Engineer is not far from essential for this role.
If you are currently in the process of achieving your Chartered Status this will be considered in your application**
The role will entail all of the following responsibilities:
Liaise at Board level ensuring projects deadlines are met within time and Budget
Provide a supportive role to the MD
Take a project from conception through to completion
Excellent hands on Mechanical Design Capabilities
Develop Fee Bids
Provide Strong Commercial Awareness.
Provide Business Development with both external and Internal Clients.
Mentor lesser-experienced engineers helping them both progress and develop.
Specific strengths in Education and Housing Development projects
These are just a few of the responsibilities the ideal candidate will be ready to take on and having proven experience in a number of the above responsibilities will be essential.
My client is looking for the ideal candidate to start in January and the wage on offer for the successful candidate is £50,000.00 to £55,000.00 Per Annum.
This is a permanent position only, contracting backgrounds will unlikely be considered simply because this is a strategic long-term position for someone wanting to progress with the company and become a key and influential member of the team.
Solid career history with limited movement is preferred and we are looking for a degree qualified proven Mechanical Engineer fully capable of hitting the ground running at a Principal Level.
