With annual revenues of over £2.6 billion, designs, delivers and maintains strategic and complex assets for its customers. Natural Resources, Power and Process and Earth and Environmental businesses employ over 21,000 people in more than 30 countries globally.

Increased demand for expertise and specialist services has resulted in the need to recruit an astute, resourceful Operations Director to work within the Asset Support operating unit of Power and Process Europe. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, this is your chance to bring your extensive industry knowledge to the asset support business, as well as take a lead role in developing market entry strategy, direction and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

·         Influencing and implementation of business strategy

·         Lever existing relationships and develop new ones to secure business in line with strategy

·         Establish working relationships with selected supply chain members and together win and deliver portfolio

·         Assist with identification and securing investment targets and delivering value

·         Grow a sustainable and profitable market share of the generating opportunities

·         Embrace and enhance exemplary health and safety culture

 

Knowledge / Experience

·         In depth knowledge of the power market covering coal, gas, CCGT and nuclear generation

·         Wind and hydro knowledge and experience is also desirable

·         Strong relationship with key people within operating organisations and seen as being a respected/well known person within this arena

·         In depth knowledge of the supply chain including relationships with key individuals

·         Excellent communication skills in formal presentations and reporting

·         Experienced in contractual negotiations

·         Proven track record in securing and delivering asset support portfolio

·         Excellent health and safety culture
