Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor – Retail
Package: £40-50k with car or allowance and extensive benefits package.
**ONLY applicants with previous supermarket QS experience and permanent employment with main contractors will be considered**
Company: Main Contractor with repeat and negotiated projects ranging in value from £1m to £20m, either new build or large extensions upon a D+B basis.
Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor required to take responsibility for all commercial aspects of several fast track Tesco Supermarket extension projects. Your responsibilities will include budget and cost control, financial reporting, commercial management of variations and subcontractors, interim valuations and payments, you will be focused upon completion of the project within budget, additionally you will liaise with Client/Project consultants to ensure the project runs smoothly and the Final account is agreed as the project proceeds. You will manage assistant and trainee quantity surveyors who will have responsibility for packages and subcontractors.
Requirements: Applicants should have formal construction qualifications and a proven track record of successfully providing QS support to supermarket or fast track retail build projects with main contractors. Current and previous background of Main Contractor experience is essential, with long periods of employment with long periods of permanent employment.
